STEP FOUR – UNDERSTANDING DIFFERENT FLOORING

To make an informed choice you must be able to understand the differences between the flooring types.

ENTRANCE MATTING

Occupying a prime position in every building, not only does it create a good first impression for customers and visitors, it is designed to effectively remove and retain soil and moisture and prevent it from entering the building. This can greatly reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls and cut down on costly maintenance.

It’s best to choose an indoor entrance mat with raised sections to wipe and scrape footwear and it should have a fabric top which is able to soak up and contain moisture. You may need to regularly clean this mat, so that it doesn’t become saturated with dirt and water. So we advise you to check that the mat is easy to clean.
