STEP ONE – IDENTIFY KEY AREAS
Office and commercial spaces can be broken down into key areas. Each area may have different flooring requirements. Below is a list of ‘standard’ key areas but as commercial spaces can vary greatly it is best to only take this list as a guide.

STEP TWO – IDENTIFY FLOORING REQUIREMENTS
Now you have identified the different key areas of your building it is now time to break these areas down and establish their individual needs which will help you determine the best flooring option.
If you are looking at upgrading the flooring in your existing office, have a look at where the flooring may have failed before so you can be sure it wont happen again i.e. reception area looking dirty and worn, kitchen area flooring is stained or working areas are too noisy.

STEP FOUR – UNDERSTANDING DIFFERENT FLOORING
To make an informed choice you must be able to understand the differences between the flooring types.
ENTRANCE MATTING
Occupying a prime position in every building, not only does it create a good first impression for customers and visitors, it is designed to effectively remove and retain soil and moisture and prevent it from entering the building. This can greatly reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls and cut down on costly maintenance.
It’s best to choose an indoor entrance mat with raised sections to wipe and scrape footwear and it should have a fabric top which is able to soak up and contain moisture. You may need to regularly clean this mat, so that it doesn’t become saturated with dirt and water. So we advise you to check that the mat is easy to clean.
LUXURY VINYL TILES (LVT)
Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) are the latest advancement in flooring, combining durability, water resistance and innovative design with beautiful depth of colour.
